American Idol - WHAT THE FUCK?

Okay...I caught a few minutes of this show American Idol the other day. What the hell is the world coming to? Are they telling us that we have to "idolize" some slutty, dumb crackwhore who can sing? Why do people waste their money producing this ? I had the idea of writing to NBC (?) and aking them to take the show off the air because it was absolutely ridiculous. Half of the people can't sing to save their lives, and the other half are there becuase they think they can win cause they have T&A. God, save us all!!!

Personally I think it would be more worth watching a search for the UGLIEST people in America. |

I think its funny, and i love to watch it. At least this show gives people a chance to become who they want without the personified ideal image that is so heavily executed in the media as a barrier. There are people out there that can sing and have talent... and I would rather see them make it then people like Justin Timber and Christina Aguilucky. There is real talent out there that deserves to be noticed. |

well to be honest, i did find it funny at first but after a while it got stale and i realized its horrible. someone pours their heart out to sing the best they can and then they have the judges lay it down to them as if they are nothing on national tv. i guess its the price they have to pay if want to achieve their dreams.
either way, i do not support the show anymore.
also, i agree with you on that i'd rather see these guys have a chance before any of those lame boy bands do. |

I love american idol, well, until it gets gay.
I didn't watch the first season, but this year, i've been watching it, and its the funniest damn thing in the world.
I love it. I dont care much for the tallent, but the lack of tallent, i enjoy. |

| dont like any of these reality tv shows. they are so stupid and pointless. although i did watch the amazing race once and fear factor a few times. thought they were quite funny dont know if that considered reality tv show or not. |

your average hick likes watching stupid like that and that's why retard shows like that are created - to cater to maases of hobos
don't be surprised, it's merely a reflection of how many hicks there are - and yes, that show among other similar shows have very very high ratings
you know i read a rumour in the newspaper, that another reality tv show was in the works (supposedly) that will have a 'lucky' bloke going into a boxing ring with Mike Tyson for a few rounds no doubtedly for some sort of prize money and no doubtedly only after he signs a slew of contracts about the show not being responsible when he gets brutally mauled/crippled

have to disagree with you there, i think its damn funny seing some teen who wants to become the next big Britney or Nick Carter like pop star get his ego and self confidence shredded mercilessly - its the best part of the show; yeah pop also disgusts me, but maybe if it didn't i'd feel sorry for those people, but for now that male judge is funny as hell |
