How Old Were You When You Started Listening To Trance?

I know the whole what year did you get into trance thing has been polled a number of times but I'm more interested in seeing how old you people were when you started to get into the scene. It would also be helpfull if you post the year as well so people know exactly how old you are :p
I was 13 (2000) when I started downloading it myself but I was into electronic music all my life (started with dance music with my mom in the 90's). |

I started when I was 15 ('98-'99). I started with ripping my friends compilation cds to mp3 in DOS. After a while, I started downloading more and more and now I have tons of mp3s, like most people on this forum.

| I got into trance in 2001, when I was 17 years old, although I wish I had found out about trance earlier that all I had access to was pop, rap etc and cheesy dance music :( |

Synth pioneers (Jarre, Vangelis) - from when I could first recognise music to age 8(1989), thanks to my Dad.
ages 8-13 (1989 - 1994) blurred musical tastes, into loads of things, but particularly liking rock music.
13 (1994/1995) - found hardcore
13-16 (1995 -1998) Hardcore, drun n bass, jungle, hardcore techno
16 (1998) - found house, and found I was liking the more melodic forms - House and trance had not really split as definately as they have today. Then I found trance properly.
16 - 21 (1998 - 2002/2003) - Gradually got into Progressive (all forms) , breaks, techno and I had a most regretable and embarrasing hard house period for about 6 months. |
