Judge Jules @ Arc Review

You know what? I walked into that club expecting nothing and I was quite pleasantly surprised. There was a lot of energy and happy people in the club and it seemed like everyone was dancing. The arcade wasn't open so we were all together on the floor. Jules played some great classics that I never thought I would hear again in a club (BT-June) and he dropped some new choons, too. Of course, my highlight was LONELINESS!! (Special thanks to the guy who lent me his cell so I could call my brother) Now, granted, I wasn't floored by jules' mixing but he did pound it out here and there and he really got the crowd into his set.

I was disappointed not to see many TAs, even though I knew you guys weren't going. However, it WAS nice to see John and Tom and I think we all had a good time. THAT GIRL IS A KEEPER, John!

Of course I don't have a tracklist, even though I was positive that I was remembering every track in sequence. Now that I am home all I can remember is Umek-Gatex and the aforementioned Loneliness. Tom, help me out here. WHOOPS! *smacks head* Underworld - Born Slippy. Love that track.

I had a fabulous time, all in all, and I am glad I went! See you guys at TALLA!

One more thing, what the HELL is the deal with the damn lights? You can't even walk around. ARGH!

seriously.. arc has to change those lights.. ing strobes hurt the out of my eyes. i was there last night also, and it wasnt that bad. i was suspecting the worst out of jules but like u said, he played some classics.. but his mixing was like though. all in all i had fun.
iteddyi
he also played solstice, taub(2002 mix) and i think brainbug afterwords..

Who were you there with? I haven't met you yet, I'm sorry I did not get to. Strangely enough, i did walk up to about four hundred people thinking they were someone else. (lights again).

SOLSTICE - YES! thanks! and you are right about Brainbug. John's friend pointed that out to me when I was in the backroom. Which was sooooo hot! eew.

Judge Jules is the DJ Scribble of the UK. Man, I heard Gatex when he embarrassed himself down @ Glow. He should take the money he spends buying those god-aweful "Hello Kitty" shirts and matching underwear and spend it on new vinyl.

And the funny thing is that I was in TriBeCa last night contemplating whether I should go and check out "The Judge" or not. Thank God for blessing people with that weird little thing called "a sense of good judgement."
