VST instruments and logic 5.1

Alright, i'm trying to get into using logic and use all these nice VST instruments i've found but I can't get any of them to even appear in logic! The instruments get installed to the "vstplugins" folder, but I can't bloody find how to use them, not even the built in ES1/ES2. Nothing is available in the main mixer under "inst" (instruments) and when I try clicking on one of the Audio tracks in the arrange window there arn't any selections for vst instruments.
I've checked all over the net with no luck and i've been all over the logic help manual, please help! |

| hehe its not that easy but ill tell ya how. Just push 8 on the keyboard. It will bring you to the main mixer, this is were you insert inst & effects. Select audioinst1 in the mixer there should be a little grey rectangle button hold the left click button on the mouse on that rectangle then a menu for your instruments will pop up. |

| I've tried that, in the main mixer window there is nothing under any of the other headings except midi. Nothing shows up under input,track,inst,aux,etc |

Dude i just told u what button to click. Heres a screenshot of what im talking about. Right underneath no effect is the button you hold with the left click, to get the menu you see in the ss. In 5.1 it will be on the very top of the each channel thou. Because i have 5.5 legit version.. i hope your not using the crack version cause i won't help anymore
