as technology advances cds are indeed become more and more popular or more importantly i should say "acceptable" :) i still only want a cdj to play unreleased or super rare stuff but at the rate of technology man and things like final scratch just think how fast were always upgrading it wont be long before im sure you can have the completel feel of vinyl playing from a cd... or some other source that is much more viable that vinyl...
good thread tho
in response theres a very famous house guy called kerri chandler i had heard heaps about him and read a interview and was stunned to hear he djs through a pc my response was severe chinstroking but aparantly he like has a laptop and walks around the club while hes djing to get literally next to the crowd and stuff... crazy
DJ Arsalan
with the computer? that's nonsense..

Does he run PCDJ and put it on Auto Pilot...

it'll be funny if someone restarted the laptop. :wtf:
Jah

It shouldn't matter what a dj uses as a format for spinnin music, if he still mixes well and his sets are flawless no matter what he used, it should not matter. I do understand that using 100% burned cdr is really bad for the dance scene, cuz the artists aren't getting any money that way but spinnin vinyl and some really rare tracks where u can onyl get on mp3 than burned to a cd is perfectly understandable. I do it, and many other dj's do to. Just my $.02 :)

Richie Hawtin uses final scratch... I think alot of DJs uses CDs nowadays..for those unreleased tracks or their own personal remixes
