My Numark 3002X is giving up...crappy , so I consider investing in a more expensive mixer...I'm thinking about buying Pioneer DJM-5/600...
First of all, what are the exact differences betwen the Pioneer DJM-500 and 600?
Second; are the volume faders on DJM-5/600 replaceable one by one, or do you have to replace all of them at once? And are the EQ and the other knobs replaceable?
Third; How long do the faders/knobs last before they get worn out...I understand that Pioneer's mixers are pure quality, but $1000+ is still a lot of money to spend on a mixer...
These are the the main aspects I'm looking for in a new mixer:
* Replaceable faders
* Replaceable knobs (if there is any mixer out there who supports that)
* Seperate VU-meters for each chanell
Besides of that, I want QUALITY, and all the main functionalities that all proffesional mixers has...
Are there any cheaper mixers that can compete with Pioneer's? 4 channels is a plus, but 3 should be enough.... |

Vestax PCV275 is a popular alternative. about half the price, 3 channels, replaceable crossfader (not sure about faders don't think so)
i have one and i love it.
usually on good mixers, only the crossfader wears out. |
