I first have to introduce myself for the people who don't know me...
Im 21 years old and im from the east part of Holland.
Im in the house scene since the early 90's and visiting some party's and clubs across Europe :)
Oh you can find a lot about me on these forums already, just do a search on "mindphaser" and you will read a lot of my history. ;)
About the post!
Since the music is changing and changing im wondering what you guys think is next...
I hear a lot people saying that they had it with Hardstyle and Progressive and that they miss the simple older style of Trance.
What will be changed...?
What is next?

I haven't had it with hardstyle. Probably because I hate hardcore and most hard trance.
I think progressive will be around for a while. |

Just one observation: despite of the name, progressive has been around before epic trance. It's called progressive because of its history (it was the blending of trance and house, which later resulted in the more uplifting stuff).
Back to the topic: Artists are always re-creating themselves and discovering new paths. It's impossible to know what will happen in the future because it's up to the minds who are behind the music. Let's suppose one artists, who likes ska and reggae starts to blend both genres with trance: depending on the evolution of this work, it could result in a new genre, couldn't it? Genres come and go everytime in a very subtle way, so it's quite hard to know what the next trend will be. |

I personally hope that stuff gets less commercial... cause i think it's most of all the scene around the music wich makes the music so great...
Being on a party with children of 16 years old who don't know anything about it is the most annoying thing there is, at least for me.
But i think im hoping on the wrong things :)
I know it is hard, but i think it is strange that nobody here has an idea or a feeling about what will be next... what will be changed... it's surprising me  |

yes, it would be nice to at least to see a bigger diferenciation between the comercial scene and the underground scene. on these days, tiesto is categorized as "pop".

they say breaks is gonna be the next big thing... also mixmag came with that trance'n'bass cd, but that was more of a comercial attempt to sell the magazine. personally i think prog and trance will be here for a while. tech trance is gonna grow a lot I think too. |

watch what you're saying there wise guy...better that young people get into the scene then have it die in a couple of years
and it beats the hell out of seeing 40 year old pimps surrounded by 20 year old women all drugged out |
