i have been noticing there have been quite a few competitions for track remixing on the net recently, such as one for sasha's wavy gravy a while back, and was wondering what the best software for remixing is, if one even exists, and how i would go about remixing tracks......
cheers.....

When you're doing a remix it depends on what the source material is.
For example, if you've got a MIDI file of the track then you'll need to be able to work with that. Or if you've got some samples from the track you'll need to be able to work with them.
There's plenty of other threads in this forum about the different software to use. Search for and read them. |

I dont think remixing has anything to do with the software -hardware. Its to do with your interpretation of the original.
I remixed my mates track using just the hook - not the main riff. The idea is that you inject yourself into the origianl and give it your style. So just use what gear u have to do this. |
