U.S Medical School Info Please!

Im planning to apply to the u.s for medschool in a year or so and I'd like to know some info on where to apply and stuff regarding academic requirements. Is there a website I can check and is there a test to take like the Canadian MCAT?

do a college search over there
concerning standardized tests there's the ACT and SAT some colleges require both , either or none.
Find the school contact them , see from there ... but chances are you will have to take some of these tests.

The best book I've seen so far is Princeton's 2003 Guide to Medical Schools. It has lots of info about adimission rates, out of state admission, tuition, the programs, rankings, ect.
If you are certain that you are going to go to a U.S. med school, I would suggest establishing residency/citizenship(if possible?) in the United States. It's a lot easier to get into med school that way, and even then the competion is fierce. You have a year and that's all it takes.
As far as requirements, the major one is the MCAT. (You can register for it at www.aamc.org) It's a bitch :whip:

| Did you know your GPA goes up when Canadians apply to American schools? :D sweet deal. check on http://www.aamc.org/ i think it goes up 0.12, but im not sure. |
