Technics SL1210 MK3 Turntable
The latest version of the industry standard SL1210 has arrived, offering a few minor improvements over the original. If you need a pitch on/off button and a pitch control with no 0% indent buy it, if you don't stick to the 1210 MkII.

Numark TTX1 Direct Drive Turntable
This new Direct Drive deck looks like it may just possibly be the best deck ever. The specs show a torque of 3.7 Kg/cm (more than twice that of a Technics) and a whole host of additional features too.

Gemini PDT6000 Digital Turntable
Good top end turntable from Gemini with a range of digital features including the ability to change the records pitch independently from the key, LCD pitch and BPM display and SP-DIF digital output.

Stanton STR8100 Direct Drive Turntable
The new Stanton STR8-100 is one of the finest turntables on the market today, and comes highly recommended by many of the world's finest DJ's

Vestax PDX2000 Direct Drive Turntable
The PDX2000 could be the king of turntables, seriously challenging the reign of decks like the Technics. Take a look at this decks specs and see what we mean.

| I would also have to go with the technics alotho I am more used to using Stantons. I really don;t liek the design of the Vestax and Numarks. To me, I like my turntable to look like one and not like some spaceship module. |

!finally - another ukta who doesnt think numarks are e - i thought i was the only one. You gotta come on chat and help me in the technics vs everyone else wars :p
I got numark tt200 - never tried ttx1 - but since they are the basically tt200 but better then they are obviously decent. More than double the torque of techs, mmmm.
And to the person who said that technics look like turntables rather than modern spaceships - back in 1975 or whenever 1200's probably looked modern - hehe. |

| i've owned numark 1520 (started on those) and now spin on tt100. numark makes the best mid-grade turntables for sure. the ttx are however, a very good candidate for the top. if only clubs had those, i think it's def. a superios to technics. sadly, techs are used at 99.9% of clubs, so that's what most people use at home as well. i read on some website that technics released a mk5 version with toggle +/- 16% pitch.. anyone know more about this? |

apparently you can modify techs to have a pitch range something like that - all you gotta do its open it up or something and there is a switch which does it. If you search theres bound to be post of how to do it. |
