Hi all,
I have a problem, It started when i got some new slip matts! The old ones where very bad and wouldn't slip. So i called round to my local shop. Happens to be round the corner. I bought some Technic UV slips got them home great they are very good.. But i have a problem with static ever since i got them!
Its fine when i just play a 12's but if i use the Velvetone to get off all the Dust etc of a 12 then when i come to pick the 12 off the deck the slip matt sticks to the 12 and comes with it and then theres a small static discharge.
There not that thick (slip matts). Im ready to buy another pair to cure this!! Please help..

| the problem is not the slip mat...you are prob getting alot of static because of the low humidity in the air...I used to have alot of static on my records also, but a bottle of gruv glide cures it. After I applied it to my record, no more static which in terms keeps it nice and clean. |
