Is Tiesto the Nr 1 Dj in the world?

I had an argument with a friend of mine today.
He wouldn't believe me when I told him that Tiesto was voted best Dj of the top 100 this year.
But he claims that there can be a lot of top hundreds.
So now I'm looking for something to prove I'm right.
Can anybody tell me where I can find the entire list.
(please do,cause I've bet him for it! :D )

| Search for DJ Mag Top 100, it's the most respectable poll for electronic dance music. And it's based on popularity, otherwise (technical ability0) most DJs on the Top 100 would be hip hop turntablists, techno and jungle djs. Peace. |

I just saw that list for the millionth time and still can't believe how people managed to let Armin van Buuren fall in 5th place! WTF!:whip:
By the way, Tiesto has become a cookie cut. |

Yes, this is a popularity contest within the EDM scene (note the absence of major cheeseballs such as Sammy, ATB and Darude that would be on the list if this was a mainstream contest).
If this list were about technique, then no trance djs would be in it because other genres require much more ability.
But in terms of music as an art (and not a sport where you could quantify someone being better than someone else) Tiesto holds the balance of the force in his taste of style and groove, and that is why I voted for him as the #1 dj in the world :p |
