I really believe that when djing you have very little chance of making anything of youself in this country unless you have the connections.

I say this because last nite when i was working we had a new dj in and he was possibly the worst dj i've heard playing to a crowd. He was letting the records stop at points and he couldn't even beatmatch. I was later informed he actually ran his own nite at one of glasgow's better club's.

My brother has been at this djing game for about 9 years now and has only recently began to catch some breaks, simply because he goes around with a differnt crowd. Don't get me wrong he is a very good dj, but he has been for over 6 years now, so why only now is he given the break he deserves.

I think it is up to managemet companies to start looking harder for hidden talent instead of accepting what is right in front of them all the time.

Just a thought. :o

Well try talking to Jon O'Bir on here about that.

Hes now resident at GodsKitchen although around a year ago, he was next to a nobody.

Theres still hope out there, you just gotta know where to look.
