I Need to know everything, Sound Volume, Recording Volume ect. I have a soundblaster live soundcard nad have connected from the "REC" out of my mixer to the "Line in" on my computer. The program i use to record is Sound Forge 6.0 In the past when ive tried to do this i have noticed that the end result is kinda distorted so ive tried to lower the volume of the "Line in" but i cant get it perfect.
Can anyone give me tips on how to make a perfect quallity mix i need to know stuff like Normalizing, Vinyl Restoration... Stuff like that.

Please help, Thanks :)

There's been plenty of discussion on a lot of what you ask. Just search the forum.

I'm surprised the results of your recording sound distorted. Can you describe the look of the waveform in Sound Forge? Does the wave touch the top and bottom of the window? If not, does it always peak at the same level?
