i hate people who try to find any reason to hate a whole country. What did this thread prove besides your ingnorance. also i hate misinformed people who make judgements about my country becuase of a movie they saw and a fake article they read on the internet. American civilians WERE killed during the bombing of Pearl Habor. Also there was a family in California that was killed during WWII. The Japanese discovered the Jet Stream and was sending bombs here in small hot air ballons made out of rice paper. one bomb actually reached US soil and landed in a park. it killed 2 children and their parents. im not saying that warranted the complete annihilation of 2 major cities. Im saying u should get your facts straight before posting. lastly you better hope we dont get ed up bad because it is America that protects your Canadian ass. |

Agreed. And what did warrant destroying two cities (according to the gov't during the war, not me) were the lives of some 300,000 american soldiers who quite possibly all could have died achieving the same result.
For christ's sake, dRale, learn how to discern real information from pure bull like that. At a time like this I can't believe any of the U.N. members are even THINKING about basketball!

i see reading comprehension is also not one of your strong points. i stated that that the incident did not warrant the destruction of two major cities. you also have to take into consideration that at the end of WWII it was just us and the russians that were fighting the japanese. the rest of europe were rebuilding their countries. also russia was in position to invade japan. i dont know if you know what russia did to the countries that they invaded during WWII, but they basically gobbled up all of eastern europe. we wanted the unconditional surrender of japan. when they refused and kept fighting, we then bombed hiroshima. when they still refused, we then bombed nagasaki. the japanese army was extremely well trained and were relentless. that war would have gone on for many more years and would have caused many more deaths on every side.
as far as the in idiot comment....you are the one posting false news articles and using hollywood movies to point out our flaws. i also did not resort to name calling to prove my point.
i dont think the whole world hates my stupid country. i know there are people who have issues with our government, me being one of them sometimes, but i would hope that people are intelligent enough to distinguish between the american government and the average american citizen who is just as against war and needless killing as they are. i also hope the people taht do hate "every" american would base it on fact instead of obviously bogus articles they read on the internet. |
