First i must say, one of the nicest clubs in toronto that i've been to, good atmosphere, good layout and great system
Greg Gow... i'm not picotto, but... well
anyone who was there knows what i would say, but it's only the first time i seen him so, i'll have to give him another chance, great track selection however
met the infamous tatgirl finally and i hope i'm beating her to writing this thread! also met DJ Hordash. any other TA's i missed, sorry.
Thomas Krome ripped up the place
surpassed my expected performance. i havent heard any of his livesets recently, but man, he did not dissapoint
opened up with John Starlight - Blood Angels TUNE!!!
also played:
Beyer & B - Vocal Image (Par Grindvik Remix)
Liebing vs Sims - CLR05
Henrik B - Stuntman
and some Gaetano Parisio, but i forget the track now
anyone who loves Beyer borderline Picotto style techno missed out on a great night.
and to all the people who left before Krome was finished his set... i hope you are Altar severs or eucharistic ministers that had to wake up for early mass.
Krome said he had such a crazy turnout in Montreal friday night, and was quite dissapointed with he toronto techno crowd.
but he still gave me his autograph. i'll post it later.
shoutout to tatgirl, nice hanging out with ya tonite. see ya at picotto or sooner |

My 1st party at Jai Bar.....
Got there at 11:30. Most everyone was hanging towards the rear of the dance floor. ??? Didn't care for the lighting in there too much- constant yellow beams on multiple disco balls made the room pretty damn bright. Sound system was good tho- and LOUD! Drinks- pricey ($4 water, $11 for a black russian).
Greg Gow started dropping some really sweet tracks, but there were several transitions that didn't flow very well into each other. No matter- the tracks made up for it.
Krome went on at 1:40, & he kept me & my friends dancing until the very end at 3:30. I only knew 2 songs during his set, but he played some sick ass ! Strangely, most of the crowd had left much earlier on. Kind of embarrassing, as I'm sure he played to a packed house last nite in Montreal.
I'm really glad I went to this. It's so rare that we get good techno events in this town.
Shout outs to Hordash, Myth Drannon, muff2k & all your buddies (I only caught Jeremy's name). |

It's always awesome when people recognize me (from pics posted online), and come up and say: "Are you from TA?" It just goes to show that I actually make it into some pics, when I'm usually behind the camera. Tonite that happened with Muff2k & his buddy Jeremy (< "Are you the girl with the license plate?"). LOL!
I love meeting TA's, especially really cool ones.
Also, lets give a thumbs down to Jai for losing your friends' jacket, and refusing to take his number down just in case someone ends up returning it. I'd call management Monday morning and complain if I were you. |

Awesome party! That place is definitely one of better looking spots in Toronto; it’s such an intimate setting, I was so pleasantly surprised. Wicked vibe, plenty of girls and sweet, sweet Techno beats! I loved Gow’s set, the track selection was extraordinary he destroyed me when he dropped Acid Storm TUNAGE!!! Krome came on and laid down pure bangers. I found he missed a bit of depth at times and it turned out that some other people though he was a bit too repetitive as well. Nonetheless, the guy’s set was merciless and hard to the bone so I was more than happy. I certainly can’t wait for the next Techno fiesta in this city.
Respect to the TAs who made it out
Cheers |
