Solarstone / Armin Guitars ???
View this Thread in Original format
Costa del Sol
Hi TAs :)
Lately I've been listening a lot of Solar Stone stuff and I could see that they use much one type of guitar in all of his tracks!

Aslo I could see that there are other guitar sound in Armin's Yet Another Day track and one of the Lighscape remixes...

Somebody has this "guitar sound" or knows where I could find it??

Cheers:)

Er... maybe they used a guitar?

from solar stone studio:

Nord Lead + Nord Rack
Probably our favourite synth- used for many of our 'big'riffs- was also used for that 'guitar' in Seven Cities. keyboard used when we 'jam a groove' together
Roland Juno106
if it's a phat bassy sound you want, the 106 is the synth for the job -used occasionally for big lead riffs and sweepy fx

Novation BassStation/Rack
Used to have three of these buggers all on the go when we went through our 'bad-acid-303' stage- hardly used since the invention of Rebirth
Yamaha AN1X
now THIS is really good - use it primarily as a master keyboard(lots of controller knobs!)
Has some fantastic sounds, especially analog and pad sounds.
Provided the acidline to 'I Want You'
Novation Supernova
Used as our main electronic-sound source- A really good all-rounder - with some really smart sounds... Not used as much since we started using virtual synths and bought the Nord Rack
Waldorf Pulse
Probably a really good monosynth - Overshadowed by the above
Korg 05RW
Used for incidental real percussion sounds or doubling up a pad- getting on a bit now but used to be used all the time for real strings and ensemble sounds
Akai S3000 + Akai S3000XL
do we need to say much about the samplers? One of them is hardly turned on anymore since the use of VST audio and virtual samplers such as Halion
Aria Acoustic Guitar
featured on many of our chilled productions... as played by Rich as long as the key's in 'E'
Peavey Foundation Bass

Mackie SR32.4 desk
Korg AM8000R ambience multi fx
Korg DM8000R multi-tap delay effects
Alesis Midiverb 4

Spirit Absolute 2 Monitors

PC 1Ghz Athlon 256Mb using Event Gina/24 soundcard
s/w Cubase VST32/5.1, Rebirth 2, ReCycle2, Wavelab4
