Gotta disagree with you there mate... The 3'n'1 remix of Energy 52 is and always will be a trance anthem!

I think he meant the 2002 remixes package shouldn't be made.. the original cafe del mar was released in around 94 I think but it only became a really well known classic in 97 with several mixes including Three'n'One Mix. That version is still one of my all-time favs :) |

Well, almost anything by Space Brothers. :)
Chakra - Home
Back in August 1997 this was one of the tracks that when I heard first time I had it on repeat and couldn't turn it off even in my sleep. But 3 years later came a bunch of remixes that were very uninspiring in my opinion, with only the Tilt Remix coming remotely close to the original.
Art Of Trance - Madagasga (Cygnus X Remix)
Yes, I know it's Ferry Corsten's "remix" which most people know and love and it's a stunning track in it's own right but it's hardly worthy of being called a remix, more like a very minor re-edit of the Cygnus X Mix. Very unnessacary and it adds nothing. The 2003 mixes should never have happened either.
Jayn Hanna - Lost Without You (Evolution Main Mix)
A storming piece of old style progressive vocal trance with sublime vocals and some lovely piano in there. Bill Hamel and Simon Noble later did a remix of it as "Mezz" which is rather poor and I expected much more from Noble of Breeder fame. But since it wasn't possible to top the original, I'll let him off this time. :)
Moogwai - Viola
The original is a storming piece of driving trance following the Platipus tradition of quality melodic. Armin Van Buuren provided a more uplifting remix which didn't suit the style of the track very well at all.
Oxygen - Am I On Your Mind
Another superb Space Brothers production which continues along their tried and tested formula of high quality trance with a lovely female vocal. Space Brothers did their own remix of this in the Lustral Remix which is good enough but doesn't match the original. But the Ian Van Dahl mix is total injustice to the original, and I'm not even going to comment on the Rezonance Q Remix. :D
Matt Darey Presents Mash Up - Liberation (Fly Like An Angel) (matt Darey Club Mix)
Some of Matt and Marcella's best work. Ferry Corsten was enjoying great success that year when Dutch anthem trance was at it's peak but that didn't stop him from putting out a couple of mediocre remixes and his remix falls into that category.
Oh well, there's my personal choices. :) |

wouldn't agree with u there...the corsten remix is what made that tune STILL a succes today!
Other than that i would say:
Urban Train < big NO NO to remix that it was perfect from day one
Out Of The Blue < i don't even want to know wot mauro picotto was smokin when he released his remix it is AWFUL
Cloudwalking < that tune was gold dust from the minute it was producded...ferry's remix is more of a re-work so it's ok....but the beatpushers remix deserves a round of applause for being SOOOOOOOOO ! |

UMMMM....correct me if i'm wrong here, but isn't the Three N One mix really...
Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (ORIGINAL Three N One Mix)
hence the confusion. |
