ok so i think that we all know at some point we are going to need effects in the music biz so lets talk about them. i've been experimenting with phasers and flangers a lot lately... first off, whats a GOOD phaser and or flanger hehehe, second... anyone out there that has worked a lot with these bastards and can maybe help me control them better...i mean is there a way to control when, how long, etc for the effects so that they do exactly what you want.
here's another thing...which effects should you do while laying out the sounds and which should you wait to do til you're done like compression? |

The amount of control you have over the phase / flange effect depends on which unit you are using to get the effect.
Are you interested in a hardware or software effect?
The order you apply effects to your sounds can make a (good or bad)difference to the end result. Part of the fun is experimenting! :) |

If you're looking for software plugins your first stop should always be Database Audio. In this case check out the section there on Chorus/Phaser/Flanger plugins. |

No problem, sharing ideas and knowledge is what this forum is about, right? :D
I thought of a commercial plugin you may want to check out too:
Ohmforce MobilOhm
Follow the links to the MobilOhm plugin when the main page loads. They've got plenty of sound clip examples for you to check out too... |
