guys went to passion last night....in amazin!!...there woz this big rumour that went around about crasher bein closed down????
hav you any details about this???
and what does this mean to the future of clubbin in sheffield??
the howards already lost its licence and now this!

this is news to me but
I can check tomorrow (monday)
Gatecrasher is one of the clubs my company has computer systems in and we give them tech support
hence many a free night at crasher for me :)
so i will check and see whats happening with Crasher |

well i havent heard anything about it... but i think this is only a rumour... the bouncers (dealers) are too clever for the pigz me thinks..
wuz anyone there on saturday/sunday to confirm anything?

it woz on the local news and i'm afraid its not a rumour...a coupla my mates were there and told me last night..afta i posted this thread!
100 police officers raided the republic just before 12am when dave seaman woz playin,they played about with the decks, asked loads of questions and then ordered everybody out...crasher for now is shut...don't know this means for next weekend.probably a much stricter door policy!to be honest it woz only a matter of time before this would happen caus i've never been searched..whereas at cream (which has also been raided) now even gropes my bollox!!
if you go on gurn.net theres even rumours that inz woz gonna get raided also...and even more distressin...SOMEBODY DIED THAT NIGHT!
don't kknow the extent of these facts but crashers definatly gonna change!!

U are fooking joking, if Crasher is closing, they can throw a closing down party, 4 us all :P
I very much doubt it coz theres just to much money to be made from that place, marketing etc.

I got in contact with Crasher today
they did get raided but wont say what the outcome of that raid is
they do not know yet if they have to close down
The Police need to make a case for them to be closed down
and that will be known wether they are going to press for that after the results of the raid are known.
The press will most porb jump onto this one as they love it when a club gets into any sort of trouble
Youth of today drugs hypnotic music etc blah blah blah
All we are doing is what they was doing in the 60's LOL

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :(:( i saw it on the news too... in hell what is the world coming to if people cant have a in good party in peace??? ok there is a drug issue @ gatecrasher, but it doesnt harm anyone but the users so whats the problem? no-one ever gets forced into drugs or anything and it makes the place that lil bit friendlier...
grr im right pissed off now. first home, then twilo, howard, crasha and soon insomniacz... churches around the world are being violated here :(
but look on the + side.. really.. they CANT close gatecrasher, its put sheffield on the map as far as ppl between 17 and whatever is concerned. And another thing, THEY WILL NEVER STOP THE SOUND SYSTEM!!

your damm right!!!!it just can't close down!...i mean how many people go to sheffield university just for the nightlife???the county council betta think long and hard at what their gonna do about this...if they clos crasher then they could well lose out in the long run!
as for insomniacz well its just changed venue and seein as crashers now recognised as a drug centre then surely inz will be next???i think mayb this has somethin to do with that girl od'in last week?wadaya reckon?
the worst think is is that once all the clubers realised that crasher woz bein raided...2000 or so peepz dropped theyre pills on the floor..therefore showin the extent of the drug activity in the club itself!the police mustav had a field day collectin bag afta bag of pils....as evidence!!
don't think sss will be affected as such (IT BETTA NOT!!)but were a far cry from the illegal rave days of the early nineties. over a million pils are consumed in the u.k every week!!how r they gonna deal with that???
at this stage we just don't know but i'm in worried!! |

| volks... as far as it goes the raid was pretty pointless.. 900 pills found in total, along with other fett and stuff... but 900 pillz... lol i know someone who used to sell 400 in a night! |
