| The DJ has to bounce around. It ruins the atmosphere when you have a perfect "hands in the air" moment and the DJ is just looking lost  |

| frankly it does not bother me. Some deejays are known for being crazy like Derrick Carter, known for getting really drunk, dancing on the dancefloor while sending the crowd into heaven with his sounds. Dave Clarke and Richie Hawtin are known for fighting each other all the time. Max Graham after he took over from Sander Kleinenberg's total destruction of the koolhaus....he scratched records for 5 mins...while setting the mixer level to his liking. Turns out he was a scratch dj in his younger yrs. Sander Kleinenberg is known for smoking like crazy during his sets. Frankly I don't mind it....but no more dj jean ppk destruction imo. |

rofl, the pvd blank stare. I know extactly what your talking about. |
what about the pvd fist drop/punch, the pvd air piano, the pvd hip thrust, the pvd jump and jump, the pvd smile and wink, the pvd point and wave, or the pvd bad dancing...
i think i look at pvd too much when he spins...
if you want emotionless concentration, check out digweed or sasha... bah... |

Who cares - it's not like I go to a party/club to stare at the DJ...
Seriously, though... I'll enjoy the party more if I see the DJ enjoying himself too rather than having him do the PvD-style blank stare... |
Don't forget that he shakes his head too.
if you want emotion which i think is amazing, look at one of tiesto's videos i love his EQ jump :haha: :stongue: :haha: :stongue: :haha: :stongue: :haha: :happy2: :whip: :eyes: |

| Saw Dumonde last week - both Jurgen and Dom were running around like absolute nuts, jumping up and down, doing the hands-in-the-air during a breakdown, climbing up onto the foldback/monitor speakers at the front .... stuff :) |

Max Graham does everything so right .. Sometimes he looks down and set a emotional quietness for hours den suddenly he jumps up and down to show how he exactly feel about the music at certain points.. He also gives amazing crowd interaction. Never turns down on autograph or hand shake requests. He is the REAL DJ.
I love Sasha and Seaman style also. |

hmm...yah graham is something. he dropped an old school hip hop track- damn me if i could remember which -at the end of his rave on the rocks show, straight from banging tech to hip hop, and everyone lost it. tho some of the more drugged were confused where they were. i loved it.
i think no one really holds a candle to Carl Cox tho. it amazes me a man can stay that large with all the dacing and crazy he pulls up on stage, it seriously seems like he has 8 fecking arms. he even admitted to pretending to play with the dials just cause people think its cool tho, so hey - what the do i know.
all i know is that anyone that stops songs in a trance set 'to make the crowd want it' should eat my ass. yes the judge can eat your moms ass too.
for all those Sashas, and SKs with their intent focus, i find myself getting lost to it much more than say someone just droppin anthems. but tis a fine balance. i woulda shot myself in boredom seeing Seb if my broad hadnt been there to keep me busy. muwahaha| |

| pvd playing the imaginary glockenspiels to schiller - das glockenspiel (humate mix) is my fondest pvd memory. I rather have emotionless concentration because digweed knows what his job is and works his ass off to give the public what it wants. At least he concentrates on making transistions and not ing up like some A list trance dj's who shall remain nameless. |

A dj is there to entertain, so if he makes people laugh by doing funny then he's done is job. Some dj's however may use this to hide the fact they can't mix for .
The best one for me was picotto at the arches all his funny hand movements, quality. |

| I donīt know but when a dj (or some1 else) goes with the music and loves the music and play some of his favourite tunes and then he see the crowd jumping up and down YOU HAVE TO jump and down, too!!i mean even when i hear a good tune at home i have to dance....:D |
