But seriously I hope that no one who participated in the protests believes that what they did would change U.S foreign policy. His whole family could've been out there and he'd remain 'undeterred'
Wether or not that's the right thing to do, only history can show. |

Now let's look at one instance where an explosive situation, MUCH MUCH CLOSER to home, also involving WMD and "arch-nemeses," came to a peaceful anti-climax: The Cuban Missile-Crisis in 1961.

What about the expansion of the Greek and Roman empires? The Egyptian empire? Charlemagne's campaigns? European colonialism? The growth and expansionism of each of these empires has resulted in historical impacts on technology, culture, and growth. Yes there were negative aspects but you can't simply say a broad encompassing statement like "history" shows that all war accomplishes nothing and is bad. I'm not referencing Iraq in any way I'm just speaking on broad terms. |
