Burning a vcd

hey people i want to burn this avi i got but the file is too big, so i know i have to split it but i don't know what's a good program to use.
I'm also using nero to burn the vcd

| your going to have to convert the avi file to mpg first. then split it, then burn it. all the tutorials you could ever want, are here.. good luck! |

use svcd, much better quality vcd is most of the times lower then vhs
but don't use svcd if you have a bad source |

| Is this a DivX quality avi? Not some crap one off Kazaa etc? If so I agree - definitely go for SVCD... |
