Woohoooooooo GREAT news. :D:D
23th of may will be a great day. The release day of SH 3. And Europe will be the first who gets the game. Konami knows that we are also a gamecountry and not only Japan and the USA!! :D

Um, the US gets SH3 in April. A full month before the European release :p

Konami reveals plans to release Silent Hill 3 in Europe before Japan and North America.
Konami of Europe has announced that Silent Hill 3 will be released in Europe on May 23, before the release of the North American and Japanese versions of the game. In Silent Hill 3, players take control of a woman named Heather, who ventures through a town only to find that it's being overrun by a group of incredibly strange creatures. The development team has constructed an entirely new engine for the game that has enabled them to construct highly detailed character models and environments. The game also features proprietary audio technology that mimics the surround sound experience.
Silent Hill 3 is scheduled for release in North America in AUGUST!!!.

Interesting news, I was a huge fan of the first Silent Hill, but the second left me a little cold.
Hopefully this third installment will be able to return to the roots of the series more, I want more time in the 'alternate' world, more super creepy gore, more *atmosphere*.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed SH2, but it didn't give me the uber creeps when I played it like the first did, even though I recreated the lights out only after dark atmosphere |

so far the games good. but it seems it breaks some of the rules of the previous games, which is good:)
~it changes between a totally normal world, then throws you back into the nightmare:) [like in SH2 there is no point in the game where anything is normal]
~No ammo practically, much harder than the others, you have to actually try... |
