Why are these people so ing lazy that they can't just take the three seconds it takes to search first, then post? It would save them, and the rest of us, a load of trouble. Quite frankly, if they are too lazy to do some work on their own part, then why should we help them?

well if u see a repeeated thread dont go into it or post..cause if u do it will be there the next day u browse then forums but if u dont post it will disappear..all u do by being a smartass and suggesting a search is getting new people pissed and think people are rude and leave our lil comunity..for me personally if my first thread askin about something and get the search reply i would say that this site sucks and wont use it again

a load of trouble? who's asking you to reply in a thread? If a thread happens to be about the same subject of another thread which was started maybe days ago, there will always be new opinions and thoughts about that subject and the other thread wouldn't be relevant. Not every ing member on these forums spend 365 days of their lives looking in these forums.

It does seem sensible that a user should search before they post and I can understand why some people cried when the Music Discussion forum was infected by multiple Ligaya threads.

But since similiar threads usually have similiar topics, surely avoiding them is not difficult? And also, if you are going to take the time to remind people of the Search function, at least be friendly about it. :D

hm...yeah

anyway when i USED the search button to find an old tracklist thread to lighten up and complete the tracklist, i got this back: "hey, why don't u post a new thread if u know so much better than us? and btw, this is an old thread...go away"

something like that i got back...so i dunno either way or what do to:conf: .....i just use the tiny brains i have and try to keep within the thread's topic.

point: i hate spammers

totally agreed. pleasentness is the way forward.

ummm, the people who are always ranting about using the search button are getting more annoying than all the others who post the same thread over and over again.

anyone wants to join an ANTI-"search button alliance" alliance? :D lol
Ray_Finkle
You're right when you say that it's probably more reasonable for people to stay out of the many "OMG WHERE IS THE HUB LOL?" threads that always kick around. This is what I do. I only bothered to post in this thread to ask why people can't just do some prior research before posting a (probably useless) thread. And to the moron with the comment about "spending 365 days on the forums"...let's take a look at post counts buddy... Anyways, instead of you people bitching about the people bitching about using the search function, just try to contribute to the overal "goodness" of this forum.

Let's just remove the searchfunction and pretend it never existed. Would that be better?

Its alot easier to just answer the question then add at the end that there is a search function that they should try next time before posting.

Exactly...instead of saying use the ing search and pasting the search button image 20 times, just answer the quesion, rather then turning the whole thread into flames, getting it closed, and making TA look like a bad place to new members. So rather then taking the time to paste the search button image, and other lame things, why not take the 20 seconds it takes to help them out? Who cares if they start a new thread thats been started before, it's just a ing thread. It wont kill you. Just ignore it and pretend its not even there rather then stiring up flames.

nooooo, i need to search for tracklists + i need to search for other stuff :D

So many ppl seem to be upset because they don't get any help, and get told to use the searchbutton instead, so why not remove it if noone uses it, and if we tell ppl that there is one, we get flamed. J/k of course, or maybe not..?
kr00t0n
Well, I saw this one guy who used the search as per advised, only to get a "why pull up this old thread again?"

WTF?

Make up ur minds as to what ppl should do, coz they get flamed either way.
