Played my first gig today @ a club here in San Diego. Interesting experience...trainwrecked once, played a decent set.
All in all, a good one. Im high. I'm gonna go eat.

Good luck with next gig.

wer ya nervous :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: and what style do u spin???

and if u trainwrecked only one i think thats quite acceptable for a first time, i personaly am not fussed if a major dj trainwrecks, aslong as it aint all of the mixes

All in all, I had a fun time. The equipment crew came late and cut my already short time slot even shorter, but luckily they had an hour open so everybody got pushed back and I got my time.
Party just kinda started, so whatver record was on the tables was the opening record, which was the MdG remix of Massive. Thought it was too banging, so I slowed it down with Obsession, then played some low key, chill tracks like Solarcoaster and PvD's Movement(very underrated and great song btw). Picked up Affinity at the record shop before going to my gig, dropped that :) , then played a few more tracks, then ended my set with Ronski Speed mix of Im Alone.
Good night. I had lots fun, even though there wa nobody there to cheer me(21 and up event...none of my friends were 21) but it was a good experience. Got a good impression on all the local DJs, so they assured me that I'd be booked a few more times before I get serious around here. As soon as I get my demo out, they, sy, is when I'll start being able to choose what gigs I wanna play for.

congrats

so what was the crowd like? were they up for it?
Zain
did they pay you for your first time?
dJohn
No. It was more of an exposure thing. I did it because I wanted to experience spinning at a rave club environement.
