i think gu is an example of whats wrong with electronic music atm. too many cd comp's by the Same old stale dj's, no new talent & big hype. Sure the tracks are new and fresh but how many nick warren (insert any of the big named dj's) gu's can we take. It's gonna be sad in 5 years time when sasha, digweed & pvd are still the biggest named dj.

Sure they still might be quality but the idea has gone stale and it would of probably been better if they didnt release 6 gu's a year. I really cbf listening to another gu atm.

Who cares if there's been too many GU's by the same DJs, at least i know when i check out a GU, i know it's gonna be quality. I think the fact that they got upto 024 is amazing, shows that it's always been quality unlike Gatecrasher and Ministry of Sound who have released so many less-than-par CDs, especially MoS.

The only other series that i can think of that have held the same quality throughout its existance are the Fabric CDs (both Fabric, and FabricLive) and the United DJs of America mixes. And for your info, this is the last GU Nick Warren is doing, ever :p

Whats the big bitch about Gatecrasher. THey are an institution, ask any of ukta's theyll all say the same. The lion is still the best place to rock it at. I mean they made one or 2 bad cds, they're forgiven. ANd as for this RnB nite, who cares, they still play trance, and i guarantee 50% of peeps in here have gatecrasher to thank for their love of Trance. I mean id give my left testicle to visit the republic one day and dance underneath the lion.

Long live the pride of the Lion

Gatecrasher's CDs up to Global Sound System were all ing awesome, from there..i dunno, i just found the cds just went downhill from there (emphasising the word 'cds' here). RnB nite, meh...at the end of the day, everyone's out there to make a good buck - or pound. As long as it doesn't effect the quality of the trance nites, then who gives a ? Let the people enjoy their music, even if it is RnB.
