A dude that goes to club and listens to beats music... Don't seperate youself from something that you believe is negative, but assess your own personality. You might actually belong to it. Picture yourself from other's point of view.

What I have originally said is that trance is not the most loved music of the people on this forum. But why do these people come to a forum thats about trance addiction? Are they joining only because they want to be underground? Probably...

On the contrary...

ster·e·o·type ( P ) Pronunciation Key (str--tp, stîr-)
n.

1. A conventional, formulaic, and oversimplified conception, opinion, or image.

2. One that is regarded as embodying or conforming to a set image or type.

3. Printing. A metal printing plate cast from a matrix molded from a raised printing surface, such as type.

Ummm what I mentioned is considered a stereotype as far as it is what I see when I went to clubs like Berlin or The Docks during "Hot summer rush" etc (some family friends/brother I knew were going, I was bored so I went). It's "One that is regarded as embodying or conforming to a set image or type." The image of the gino. But that does NOT mean I apply that to EVERY person who is dressed in Diesel and wears parasuco and wifebeater shirts that I meet. I give everybody a fair chance and try not to judge anyone without talking to them first.

In response to you saying I would be a gino (others have also said that as well jokingly), how would I be considered a gino? I don't have the attitude, I don't really dress like one (No spiked hair, or tons of gel etc), again I don't have any of the ATTITUDE that I mentioned that sometimes PRIMARILY makes up most of the gino populous.

As for seperating myself from that which I see as negative, the gino bit, I just think it's funny. So by looking outside myself at myself I don't think I apply to that specific group (although people have thought that I do, that is not the case as they see how I really am, ie I have no attitude).
Ok no more rambling out of me...I don't even know why I typed all this out, I could care less what people think of me. Ah wellz.
Chris

P.S. I agree w Elmo.

Elmo,
From of that last post you said nothing.

wave,
Other than defnining stereotype out of a dictionary, you've said nothing as well.

Guys look. The word gino was drilled into your head as a "bad" word. Something that you don't want to be. As you have learned, or maybe should have learned :nervous: , there is no such thing as bad or good. Gino is just as normal as a raver/rapper/rocker/etc. Look outside, its not as bad as you think it is.

...the 'gino flame war' started with you saying you want the ginos banned from TA...
there is such thing as bad and good. This thread = bad. What do you called someone in Montreal who goes to clubs & listens to 'beats'? call them a gino and they'll look at you like this :conf:

this is useless...I feel like i'm talking to Hitler

I didn't say "nothing". I said it was an IMAGE just as YOU say it is similar to "raver/rapper/rocker/etc". That is true. I just think it's funny that's all, just as some people who think it's funny how some people decide to dress up when they hit up raves or rock concerts or rap parties. I don't think I've ever said a gino is bad or I hate them or anything. I hate anybody with attitude, gino or not.

Hm... in the words of my granddaddy [not literally] Armand Van Helden:

But the media
be misleadin' ya
You believe whatever they feedin' ya
Come on - you like lies?
They ain't underground if they have to advertise
They got your eyes wide shut

That's not directed at anyone in particular, but the point I'm trying to make is that a lot of people use the word "underground" far too liberally. The trance scene in Toronto is hardly underground, it's just not "mainstream" either.

(Ah Gandhi Kahn, is there anything he doesn't know...)
