Is it just me or should Paul Oakenfold start his own radio show?

??? I know he has StateSide, but thats not really his show. I was thinking more like a Pete Tong, Seb Fontaine concept. Maybe not on Radio One, but on another station. He doesn't talk in his Statside sets and it would be cool if he would. I guess what I'm trying to say is, how about an answer to Armin's ASOT's???

| i would say that state side is his own show...actually i'm glad he doesn't talk because i think armin ruins his ASOT with all that a;lkwepotigadsgklj...i mean i guess you don't care if you speak dutch, but its really annoying for us that don't. |

I feel you on the ajskdfioaysf out of Armin's mouth, but slowly he's starting to talk in English. Armin only talks on the first part anyways introducing new tunes, the second part is solid music, with minimal ID&T pauses. Oakey could do this, and it definately would be another world then Armin's, with different music and different language. He could definately redeem himself this year with this added to his to-do list. Personally I think this is the year of Armin vs. Oakey----Call me crazy!

On topic:
I thought State Side was his show. Hmm, now that you mention it, he probably doesn't want a weekly show, I'm sure he could get one whenever he wants.
Off topic:
Give Sander K his own show already :crazy: How about a weekly 4 hour set from the man that I can download. |

| Oakenfold should start his on planet IMO, but thats just me. I think if wanted to step up State Side he would but I mean i just dont know why he hasnt gone all out with it. Probably still living off the EM world tour success. O and with ASOT geez i hate it when they talk right in the middle of transistions, most annoying thing Ive ever heard. |

Personally, I just heard it was him talking a couple of weeks ago, and I just couldn't match the face with the voice. But I heard it was him as well as a lot of people, so as childish as this may sound, PROVE IT!:p

First of all it is Armin himself that does the show and so does the talking. I can't prove it, because you guys don't talk dutch. But two weeks ago he said he wasn't keen on promoting his own singles during his own show, but he did it this time with Song For The Ocean.

Second of all it's a dutch radio show which happens to be broadcast on the internet too. Armin is aware of the thousands of listeners (?) he has, even abroad. But first and foremost it is dutch. If you're in the chat or here on the forum during ASOT you'll notice dutch people translating the most important things he says in english. And Armin sometimes talks english to you people too. |

I think Oakey should start his own radio show - this way he can load up the computer with MP3s/DAT rips, set it to automix/crossfade and go have a nice cup'o'latte - woops, he already does that in his live shows... so that should be no problem for him to transition.
while he's at it, he should turn it into a talk show and perhaps discuss his nutritionist, cometician, hygenist, proctologist, and the quality of puntang "Stateside"... at least that would make him a worthy listen... He can talk about all things Yuppie and posh...
Personal opinion: IT is sad for me to see my once favorite DJ sink to such abomination... but then again, money is the root of all evil...
