meh, I don't really listen to music and classify it into genres. I either like it or I don't.

Ditto. I have just about every genre in my record case...mostly techno and tech-house, but also deep house, gay house, trance, a little bit of rap/urban here and there...if it sounds good, I buy it.

However, when I go out partying it's mostly for techno.

Gay house? Isn't all house gay?

Hmmm.. I wonder if I'll get flammed for this... I also expect my statement makes me a genre-ist.

No....there is a definite ifference between vocal/deep/jazzy house and screaming thumping DIVA house.

so u become a Genre-ist..:D

btw...elitist cant be used in the same sense since elitist means that the person has been in the scene for ages and has developed...this is just a plain discrimination toward genres other than the ones the person likes
