Xp & Icq

Well here I come with another XP O/S problem!
As far as I can recall I never had this problem with other O/S's.
My ICQ seems to repeat itself (its messages) each time I close and re-open it.
Ex. I toss a few messages back and forth with a friend, reboot, log back onto ICQ, and there's my friends messages again *LOL
It's anoying and I cannot seem to get it to stop :mad:
I've unistalled it and re-installed, but the same problem persists...
Any idea's, maybe one of you have had the same problem?

| Never had that problem but I don't really use ICQ that much. Uninstall it and re download it from icq.com, maybe you have an old version thats not really that compatible with XP. Or if worse comes to worse format and install evreything clean and see if it works. |

i use trillian for all my im'ing needs, it contains...
MSN, Y!, AOL, ICQ, IRC all in 1 program
and w/ that, i have never had the problems you describe |

I used to use Odigo, which is similar to trillian... however, the bloody thing one day decided not to work anymore and I lost all my ICQ/MSN list (don't ask me why the lists weren't stored in the server :p) |

Same thing was happening to me, so I didn't bother installing ICQ after formatting.
