Alright K my Sony's MDRV700's (the silver ones that look cool lol) are now OFFICIALLY DONE (the left ear thingy fell out and no sound is coming out of it FAAAAAACK)! In the end I have to say that I was pretty happy with them. I grabbed them for $200 *with tax* I had them for over a year and a half and I used them EVERY SINGLE DAY (my ears are paying for it now lol). Over the course of the last couple of months I noticed that they started to crack and last week I lost the sound on the left hand side and over the weekend the left side completely fell out *DOH*! So I was wondering what other headphones out there are good/worth dropping some cash on?! I dont mind paying alot of $$$ as long the sound quality is good/they look cool *lol*. I hear Sennheisers are pretty good?! But the HD-25's dont fit me well! They are too small for my ears! Anyone have any worthy thoughts on this?!

I've had turntables since March 2000 and used the same Koss Headphones ever since. They came with a Manufacturers lifetime warranty so if they break or something I just send them in and get a new pair.

If I didn't have these I'd probably go with those Sony's that you had. If they lasted you that long and you were satisfied with them theres no reason not to be a repeat buyer. If you found something good stick with it. No reason to change headphone makers just because you have the opportunity.

Stick with the sony's

why would any one stick with something that broke down on them ?...
but then agian that's just me i dunno wouldn't buy it agian :toocool: :toocool: :toocool:

Yea theres no way in hell im buying those again...! I mean I was happy with them but at the same time I thought they could have been better. The one beef I had with those is that they'd start to feel kind of heavy on me upon listening to them for extended periods of time. Dont get me wrong, they were really good headphones, I just want to try something different, with as good/better sound quality. I dont want inferior sound. And i'd like lighter headphones too...!

^^^ it all depends on what you are going to be using those new cans for? djing, studio monitoring or just home/portable listening?

As I read the thread's title I thought of only one person that might be able to help you in the headphones department... but I guess he already got in touch with you.

By the way, I'd suggest Stanton's DJ 2000S Pro (or whatever they're called)... they are not that heavy (but not very light either), have almond shaped earcups that fit your ears perfectly, and the sound is amazing (700's are just a bit louder than these). You can grab them at Play De Record.

Then again, if the money isn't an issue, I'd but those technics (I think they are technics) from Play De Record, $350 ones... wanna talk about good looking headphones... phew!
