Considering going to Loveparade - need some input! =)

I'm considering making a trip to Loveparade this year for my yearly vacation =)
I'm from California - loveparade looks like the most amazing thing on the planet - anybody have any input or recommendations on how to plan this trip, what else to see, etc?
How long does loveparade go for? Is it just one day? I'd love to go visit amsterdam as well if I have time =)

| All the news this year that ive heard so far isnt good news about loveparade, as I guess it needs more funding? But thats just what ive been reading, if you want to ask a person about it ask jploveparade..... anyhoo i would love to go as well.,, man i would be in bliss |

| You should definitely go to the LoveParade. When I was still living in Europe, I went to one, and it was in' awesome. :D :D |

| if you go to the loveparade go for the atmosphere and rave scene DO NOT go only for the music/DJ's. the DJ's play by on floats during the parade and then after the parade the main stage DJ's only spin for 20 minutes each. PVD for 20 minutes is a tease!!! |
