Ambient sets?

Hello there, I was wondering if you know of any ambient sets, with only ambient tunes floating on each other?
I'm talking about tunes like most of Michael Woods's work and for example Accadia - Into The Dawn...
If you know of any set, then I would appretiate it if you can mention them to me and it wouldn't be worse if you would mention your favorite ambient set (well if there is such a thing :) )

I've noticed that a lot of you people are somewhat confused with these genres. Ambient and chillout are not the same thing. What you're talking about is chillout.
Ambient is stuff like Brian Eno and Aphex Twin, it is music made in processes (not structural) and is very abstract and has an irregular form.
The chillout music you're talking about is pretty much downtempo trance. It always has a structure and even has a beat, even if doesn't necessarily has to be that obvious. I know there are compilations of chillout by the Ministry of Sound and the Cafe del Mar series (but this one has lately been more downtempo in a jazzy way). But I don't really know much about this, i know more about ambient music. |
