there is no flow....u need to build your set.try having progressive at the start then tarnce then hard trance. or something like that.playing holden into jam x proves this there must be a pitch difference of around 8.i dont see how they go well...the 1 is progressive other hard trance.

Okay, so perhaps i should move the nothing to a different position in the set; earlier.
If this was your set, how would you arrange those tracks?:conf: |

just try to make it flow... do what alex t said, put the prog in the front -> hard trance in the back, at least that is what i try to do when i spin... djing isnt 100% about beatmixing or having the best tracks.. a lot of it is learned w/ experience and playing what song when and around what other songs.
i try to have the listener flow through the set and at the end be like "how did i end up here?" and not in the middle, giving weird looks at the cd player...
however, w/ that said, there is no right or wrong way to spin, there is no right or wrong way to play what song when you want.. you are the dj, if you wanna hear something, play it. when i am making a cd, i usually drag out a bunch of records that i want on it, sort them a head of time, and start to spin. it usually takes a few goes before i get the right tracklisting or setlist. if you are planning this as a set to spin out, you might not wanna plan the set exactly and play off the crowd, see what they enjoy and what they dont and try to flow with them. |
