I was wondering, who should take the credit when a track is remixed?
Take for example. Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun (DJ Tiesto Remix)
Personally, i felt the tiesto remix was FAR better than oakenfolds original, so should tiesto take the credit for remixing? Or should oakenfold take the credit for producing the track to remix?
Should they both receieve equal credit?
Thoughts & other examples please :toocool: |

| I think both take the credit, the producer is often the one that you don't hear about so much but the remixer is quick to give props to. I think it depends on the remixer because cosmic baby and pvd's partnership in the early 90's went sour when pvd said he was really the creative force behind the partnership or the remixes in this case and cosmic baby got mad. I think it depends on the dj and the remixer and producer. |
