great thing you went offtopic, cuz i came here to post a "how many people did you get addicted to trance?" thread. hope it hasn't been done recently :D :D :D ok, i make thread now ;)

Apart from my school van and some foreign girls, I've never been succesful showing trance... on the other hand, I've been more lucky with other genres like drum'n'bass, techno (including acid stuff :tongue2), house,....

btw.. who is the dude in your signature/avatar?

He's Alberto Santos Dumont, one of the greatest Brazilians ever born. He invented about 100 different things (if you're using a wristwatch, be thankful to him :)), and in Brazil and France he's considered the inventor of the airplane (although we know how important the Wright Brothers were as well). In case you're curious, here's the story:

Santos Dumont was born in July the 20th of 1873. It all started in France when he was hired by "Lechambre & Machuson" to fly in a balloon (it was a test drive of a model he was working on actually). He got the money he had earned and bought a smaller balloon for himself, and named it Brasil (i believe you all know what it means :D). Later on, after winning prizes with his zeppelins (is this how you call a "balloon with an engine" in English? :p) he built the 14-bis. Different from anything he had worked on before, this one wasn't a balloon. It was pretty much an airplane, with a 24HP engine. It flew 90 cm high for 100 meters (speed: 37,5 km/h), in Bagatelle camp (Paris). Unlike the Wright Brothers (who had just 5 witnesses), thousands of people saw him and the International Avation Federation considered it the first flight with something-heavier-than-the-air ever.

If you want pictures, here they are:

(a proper portrait)

I believe he designed the hat too :D

Today, I woke up and played really loud "Boriqua tribez - Corona"... it's very nice techno stuff... anyway, when I looked in the corridor, the cleaning lady was dancing and playing with the broom as if it were a glowstick :p She was so deeply involved in the music that I decided not to disturb her (and approaching someone spinning a broom is not really wise :D). So, when the music ended, she came to me and asked if I could give her a mixed CD because she wanted to listen to this kind of music at home and it was far better than the music played in the radio. Probably, I'm gonna give her a liveset either from Ken Ishii or DJ Cave (my favourites). Anyway... I felt like telling it here because, let's face it: you don't see such thing happening everyday :) Has anyone here ever managed to do something similar?

Mission acomplished :disbelief :tongue2

is your cleaning lady any attractive??? just curious :)

That's cool and everything but I got my grandma hooked on trance... I was listening to oakenfold: new york on day and she liked it. Long story short, I dubbed it onto a tape and hooked her up. So a couple weeks later she wanted me to dub a different one since she'd played the other one out already. I then dubbed dave seaman: buenos aires which she likes as well. This is all pretty freaky to me since she's like your typical blue-haired granny except she's bumpin some phat trance at her crib. :tongue2

ROFLMAO!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :haha: :stongue: :tongue3 :haha: :stongue: :haha: :stongue: :haha: :stongue: :tongue3 :haha: :stongue: :D :p :nervous: :haha: :stongue: :tongue3 :haha: :stongue: :haha: :stongue: :haha: :stongue: :tongue3 :haha: :stongue: :D :p

My old manager (she's in her 40's) caught me listening to Ferry Corsten's set on my iPod and asked me to burn her MP3 compilation. She's hooked... she was even asking me how she can attend one of these parties... that's too funny tho... The story with cleaning lady is hillarious, coz' I think of our cleaning lady, eastern-european (polish) woman in her 50's and can't imagine her "poppin'" with her broom to some Dave Pearce... ehehehe roflmao! :D
