the Shuffle in the Pattern Devices in Reason ?

Hi Guys, Im new in Production, I bought the Reason 2 Program while ago, but im just having free time now.. so Im reading the Getting Started Manual first, im in the Page 72, and there is an explation of the Shuffle Funtion on the Matrix and the Redrum, i read it, but I dont get it.. what for is used this funtion?.. can someone explain me this?... oh.. and what about the Shuffle on the Transport Panel??

it shifts 16th notes
from this
(1/4 of a bar)
|0---0---0---0---|
to something like this
|0--0----0--0----|
im not sure if thats right but it is suposed to give your drums a swing feeling
i dont know about the transport panel one |

| The shuffle knob on the transport bar controls the amount of shuffle. |

Not usually, no - most of the time it just sounds too offbeat... |
