The original mix featured on the ESCM album, which I believe is an edit of the BT & PVD mix. Can't confirm that, but here's all the remixes I know of, with approximate lengths:

The BT & PVD mix is well known and that's probably the one you've heard so I won't describe it. Chicane goes a similar route, chopping up the beat in places before reverting to a steady 4/4, mid-paced trancer with typical Chicane sounds. The HHC remix is a little bit harder than Chicane's mix and adds another melody line to the main riff which sounds really great. One of my favourite mixes. The Lemon D remix is quite different and is probably best described as drum 'n' bass. Much darker than the previously mentioned mixes although the melody does make an appearance at various intervals. Not really my cup of tea but interesting nonetheless. I haven't heard Simon Hale's Orchestrata unfortunately so I can't say anything about it. Then we have the BBE club mixes, which are both very good. Trancey pieces which don't sound a whole lot like the original until near the end of the track, but manage to retain their own feel.
Overall Flaming June is one of my favourite tracks (as you may have noticed), and I'd recommend checking out the HHC/BBE mixes if you haven't heard them. :) |
