mixer problems

I have a Stanton RM-3 mixer and I've been having problems getting stero sound out of it lately.
I've had the mixer since August(i bought it used, but in extremely good condition).
Here's the problem: my channel 3 started to split up the bass and highs into the Left and Right speakers. (So if i panned one way i would get bass only, if i panned the other way i'd only get highs)
It also split up the sound in my headphones i used to cue with. This wasn't that big of a problem until the other day where it stoped outputting Highs all together and only outputted Bass. So I figure there is not much I can do about it, so I switch the RCA jack into channel 2 n continue mixing. NOW channel 2 is getting messed up. I can only hear the Highs out of channel two now. Edit: almost 5mins of having this problem channel 2 stoped outputting completely. However it will still give sound to the headphones (highs only)
I can't figure out whats going on but i do have an idea of what it might be, because I've noticed on a few occasions that the ground wire has poped out of its "ground". Could this be a problem? and if it is the problem is it fixable? Thanks in advance
