no the scene first existed for ppl to share music. Not for lamer competition. Ive been in the "scene" for many years, and have bowed out disgracefully from the current state its in. As the founder of RNS, Al Capone, said "the mp3 scene went from glory to in a matter of months". Its all about who rips what first...and they make a bootleg tracklist and release it as a RETAIL. its a ing joke to see how many times a release gets "rereleased" because they claim it ISNT the genuine RETAIL.
Its like re-encoding/retagging other groups rips and passing it off as your own that s everything up. And EVERYONE should be allowed to get access to any rips(which i tried my hardest thru means of xdcc a couple years ago)...not some ing JOE that thinks they are elite.
Share the wealth...that way you get more ppl joining in your cause and putting out more releases. |

one upon a time a reguest was made for the dub of dream get over (flutlcht mix) and sum1 said they had the mim rip of the track, needless to say i was pissed off when i saw this as i originally distributed the track and did not even rip it, it is recorded fro mthe master file given to me by reverb himself. he said i may share it as it would never be released.
i knew you got me confused anyway,m thats why ur comments didnt bother me ;)
but sitll, whoever is in mim and tagged that mp3, shhould be shot for trying to climb the ladder of l33tness.... |

Respect! That's how it should be too- everyone ripping their own stuff. If everyone ripped and shared their own stuff instead of joining some silly rip group, then there would be none of this rushing to get something released before anyone else. Rips would be better (like Nell's), things would be much more simple and the mp3 'scene' would be a much nicer place with no silly ing 'i'm l33t and you're not' attitude.
At the end of the day, I only respect the rippers... not the groups they 'represent'.

Heh,
then again, if no1 ripped anything, and just listend to online radios n such,and bought the tunes then record labels such as Lightning, and BONZAI (FFS) wouldnt have gone bust,

agreed 100%. if people want to buy the music regardless if they have the mp3 or not, theyll buy it. christ, wihtotu mp3s i wouldnt know what trance is, or own nearly 900 singles/maxi's, 30 albums, 10 mix comps. the way i see it is, i might lose or delete mp3's and they are poorer quality. with cd's/vinyl , as long as they dont get nicked, theyre there for life :)
p.s shall i rip my cds of solar coaster and rococco, all 4 mixes off of each cd in 320kbps. we can do a test and see how long before a rip group claims them :stongue: :crazy: . did any rip group claim southern sun? |

The guy posts to appologize and all you got is more flames for him? Shame.
As for the whole issue itself, jesus ing christ, so what they released a low quality radio rip or whatever the the case is. It's not the first time nor will it be the last time, best you can do is stop crying about it.
I'll tell you one thing, if anybody released a 'rip' of one my tracks I wouldn't go cry to mommy about it. Infact I'd probably be happy beacuse there's a good chance a whole bunch of people will listen to it.
What good is your track if there's nobody to hear it? |
