Fake id's & The Guv

Hi guys,, Im just wondering exactly how much they check for fake ids at the guv? do they really care? Or are they nazi strict?
The reason im asking is because a group of my friends are on the verge of heading up there for this Saturday and we are not all 19! But the youngest is 18 so its not a big age difference.. Im hoping to hear some good responses * fingers crossed * hehe |

If its a good ID they shouldn't have a problem. The door dudes do basically check every single person's ID though so its not like they can just squek by. I however have never had to try this since at 18 I had absolutely no desire to party.

| well it's weird once I almost did not get in with my real ID, but that was at the Kool Haus line-up, the bouncer at the Guv does not even look at my ID anymore! LOL!:eek: |

| My selfmade absolute crap ID was good enough for them (for the 2nd time). After it failed the first time, I just went to another line up and made small talk with the bouncer and just flashed the ID by when entering :). Your best bet is to get someone elses ID that looks like the person entering, they don't have to be identical. If that fails flash a 20 ;). |

yup, thats the best way...thats how I got in. If you have a fake ID, then they'll most likely notice, but if you use a friends who slightly resembles you, then you're in ;) |

| Im going to be using mine on sat for the first time. It looks good, has holograms of authenticity on them and all the info is there. I don't look 19 but I'm hoping it'll work. I don't wanna have to use a $20 cuz i paid 50 for the id heh |

| just remember to memorize atleast ur friend's postal code in case they ask u if they think the photo is not of you .. cuz yea if u dunno it, then busted ! |

Hope it does work for ya, but you don't look 19 at all. But then again, a lot of people don't look their age. |

| haha i wouldnt worry about it too much. i live in detroit but i went to toronto when i was 15 almost 16, and got an id as soon as i got there. i sure as didnt look 19, but the id worked at the docks, and limelight. i got checked a few times when i got in but they just looked at it and shook it off. maybe they just didnt care, im sure they knew. they probably see the same fake ids all the time. but it had the holgrams and everything, and it was an id from ohio. as soon as i got home though i tried to go to a club and they stole my id and told me to get the out of here because they knew it was fake. thats the US for ya. |

limelight and docks aren't like Guvernment. In Guv they're a lot more strict about it. I got caught with a fake there. When I used somebody elses though, I got in no problem. |

| I find the Guv staff pretty strict there with ID. However if all else fails, I've been told it's very easy to grease them. |

for me i used a real ID with someone that looked almost exactly like me, and it worked perfectly. the guy didn't even look twice. he didn't ask me the postal code or anything.
even if he didn't believe me, it's not likely that they aren't going to say it's not you, because if you have all the info on the card right, they can't say it's NOT you. besides they want to make money too, so its not like they're gonna bust your balls TOO hard. |
