Right I'm a student, so no money at all. Went to tesco and saw the following:-

Crumpets - £0.62p

Pikelets - £1.80

WTF!!!!!???? Pikelets are exactly the same as crumpets just smaller and thinner. So less mass should equal lower price......... but no.

Rant over................. And my first random post over:D

They look a bit scabby to be fair. The crumpets are nice though - especially with cheese (homer voice) mmmmmmmmmmmmm cheese.

So why dont you go in to tesco and ask the manager for the reason for the pricing to be like this.

Actually that could be a bad idea coz they will then probably put the cost of crumpets up. :D
tu_face
only ever had the crumpets from tesco i think.. to be fair, they are good crumpets...

I cant believe that this thread of my random thoughts of utter nothingness has spawned replies!!

By the way - I asked customer services about the price recently. They said they are an exclusive product........ hmmmm really.

Look out for Tesco Pikelets at your nearest posh restaurant, right next to the caviar.
