My guess is the tribes is a reference to the two production teams, namely, Future entertainment and Hardware coming together for one biiig party.

| Wasted_Space is correct... AFAIK... That's what it said on one of the flyers... This year will be my 4th Two Tribes anniversary as well... |

actually the original concept of 2 Tribes was to combine the 2 'Tribes' being Clubbers, and Ravers together at the one event
hence 2 Tribes |

How did you figure that? Given that it was originally a Melbourne event, did someone from the Perth scene magically fill you in? I'd back the what the promo flyers from the production companies said, IMO... |

I think you might find that Future Entertainment, did clubbing gigs, and Hardware did rave gigs

| Or, more accurately, Hardware does techno parties, Future does mostly house, progressive and trance parties. :) |
