they made some beautiful trance tunes way back
but am i right in thinking they have changed their style?
i just saw their lastest release under the "house" genre
and i listened to their E.P a while back and it was very bad
have we lost their excellent trance productions? :nervous: :sadgreen: |

There is another producer team called Fire & Ice who is a house producer team.
Same name but different genre.
Don't worry...

they havent changed styles since then but imo they have changed their styles drastically prior to that release. they use to have darker elements in their music since the days of Silent Cry, Forever Young, Neverending Melody, etc. i miss the old Fire & Ice :( they use to release quality stuff but now their stuff are far more fluffier and light. they are still good but... i like their older stuff alot better. :( their remixes have always had a different sound compared to their own productions. man i miss their old style...
Push's style has changed alot too imo.. they use to have the darker edgier sound as well but since The Legacy... i dunno, its lacking.. just my opinion though. :-/

| I haven't heard many of their recent productions. However, ROOS - Instant Moments 2002 (Fire & Ice Remix), which I own on vinyl, is an excellent tune. |

wouldn't say Push has gone lighter, what about Matanka - Lost in a dream (Push transcendental remix)? can't get darker than that :D |

thank god :happy2:
i thought, like some other former A-trancers, they changed their style to keep with the times (e.g. transa)
my favourites from them are:
what you are for me (1998)
my galaxy (2000)
lost emotions (2001)
some other gems as well
heart & mind wasn't as good as them, but still a tune i would play
push is still kicking, and i'm still waiting for something new from him |

ahh I'm so glad.
I guess it's not really my place to comment since I don't know the 'old fire & ice', but their latest E.P. with Souvenir de Chine, Neverending Melody, Heart & Mind... I just love this style. SdC especially, reminds me of the Willaim Orbit vs. Ferry Corsten productions :)
/me goes to find older F&I stuff |
