i'm just starting to get into production
anywho, what i'm wondering is how do i get a nice deep hard house type bassline? kinda like BK...
am i able to do it with a soft-synth or do i have to actually get hardware to accomplish this? |

You will be able to do that with a soft synth really easily. I have always found basslines one of the easier things to create with Software. Mainly Rebirth (obviously) and reason. As for hard house basslines, they tend to be set on the third and fourth sixteenth notes of bar, and repeated. E.g. kick...nothing...bass...bass...kick...nothing...bass...bass...kick and so on.
I'm not too familiar with BK's work but it kind of reminds me of the old analouge basses, like that out of a juno or something but run back through a high-pass filter so it doesn't sound as deep. |
