Access Virus VST - Its a Real Virus!!!

I just wanted to warn the ppl who use VSTs. I got this off the Access Mailing list.

When searching for dodgy VSTs, do not download the
Access Virus VST - apparently it's a *real* virus. Someone on the DOA
producers board posted this...

"oh my god Access Virus VST...
WARNING ! This is not real. If you install it, it will
delete all of your VST plugs. If there was an Access
Virus VST, they would have been talking about it
months ago on their site! If you see this anywhere,
dont DL, and delete it if you can. Again, check their
site, it is not real !!!" That's messed up. I guess the pun is a coder's weak joke. Having all of your VSTs deleted would be at least
a bitch to reinstall.

Making a vst of the Virus would be suicide for Access.
hey cheggy
Access has made a softawre version of their virus synths. I think its called Virus TDM or Indigo TDM. I have no idea what it is like as a soft synth. It has the same/very similar parameters as the hardware pieces, although it is not VST. It uses Pro-Tools as it's host, so i guess it's kind of out of the price range of regular users.

I guess I'll just have to settle for the real thing.:D

Yup, that is correct. It uses the hardware DSP power of some of the Protools hardware.
