Hi everyone,
Thanx for downen the mix and I'm glad you all like it.
As a matter of fact this mix is the first in a series of 3.
the second one I'm working on right now, will be called 'Mending - Left speechless' This one will only have instrumentals in it.
The third one will be called ( I think) 'Fixed - From the tears and the rain and the fears and the pain' which will contain tracks on a happier note.. :-)
Cheers,
Jax |

ahh yes- music sounds so much better when it means something...
that's why it's actually pretty fun trying (keyword) to remix- "micro tools - triomphe de l'amour" |

Funny you mention that track, cause it is in the tracklist of the next mix, 'Mending - Left Speechless' :D
Cheers.
Jax
PS. DJ_D|ABL0_, the mix was made using IQsofts, Software Audio Workshop. :-) |

Thanx !
Too bad ? :-) Almost all songs have been changed in the way that the intro, outro and lenght have been changed, and samples of the songs have been used in diff. area's. This mix could never be done live. And that's what I meant when I said that live mixing limits creativity. :-) |

I like it mate, makes absolutely no difference how u decide to mix it. Live mixing has it's definate advantages for clubs, parties, broadcasting and anything 'live'. It is also a skill which many have yet to master.
On the other hand, Jax has a point. I wouldn't say that it limits creativity (as after all, some of these live remixers would w00p your ass for saying that ;)) but it does allow some awesome mixes which are nigh-on impossible to do with a pair of turntables alone.
Good mix mate, keep it up. |

Niiiiice mix man. Great track selection too.
It doesn't matter how you mixed the tracks, HDD or decks. It won't be long until you see live HDD mixing in clubs as standard. There are some PC hardware add-ons that look like two decks. You cue up an MP3 on each one and mix/scratch/pitch etc on each deck. You spin it like vinyl, it sounds like vinyl ... the only difference is when you're setting up you don't have to carry vinyl :0)
Anyhow, back to your mix, thanks for posting it mate. Will you be posting the next two here also? Would love to give the next two a listen. |
