add in his "famous" base line and there we go - A BRAND NEW REWORK by PvD! oh, cant forget that drum roll that he uses in every new remix/rework of his nowadays.
gee, too bad he didnt have this one in time for Politics of Dancing, cos he probably would've included it there :p i guess PvD finally found his style, and he's not deviating much from it....
i prefer the ORIGINAL by Sasha ;) did Sasha authorise PvD to mess with his tune?
>JM<
[edit] OMG OMG i just cant listen to the PvD rework of this tune, it just doesn't sound right after hours of listening to the original Sasha [/edit]
SASHA = KIN

yes PvD dId make it a danceable tune, and yes the brakebeat replaced with a steady 4 beat bassline - not creative at all as someone pointed out! as for dancing to Wavy Gravy, its not dancefloor material, and thats what makes PvD's rework so much more "cheesy" - cant term it correctly,...:toothless
@ Excite - i just heard the PvD rework, had the orig. for months now :) |

I doubt it.
Raping one of the best tracks ever with a PvD-beat is a no-no... |

If PvD hadn't reworked it, I probably would never have heard about it anyway. But after hearing the rework I got curious how the original sounded. I must say it's amazing but I do prefer the rework. (more energetic :D )
But of course all credit to Sasha for comming up with such a masterpiece. |

I don't dislike PvD's rework. the original is more creative and interesting musically, however, it's hardly a dancefloor tune. PvD merely made it suitable for live play, and it came out nicely. Compared to the original it may be not that great, but relative to most other trance tunes produced, its quite excellent.
Time and time again, people complain about remixes, saying that they stray too far original, and take out all the good aspects of the tune. Now that PvD is sticking to the original as much as possible, just changing a few minor things to fit his style, he's criticized for being boring and unoriginal.
Moral of the story: You can't please everyone. |

i loved original... but in a club.. how would you dance to it? it is soooooooooo chilled that it would make you want to hug everyone else lmao :p
on the other hand, paul`s rework is banging and yes, danceable :cool:
btw, terry bones remix of wavy gravy is amazing too :)
on side note: sasha did let Paul remix the track ;) and there is a possible release on BMG :)
