thanks guys - im totally moved by your response to this remix. josh had been playing me this song for around a year before we remixed it and i kept plotting for what we were going to do when we actually got around to working on it. what i loved about the song is that it had such a dark subject matter, yet the chords were very uplifting in the melody. it originally was called "annie"
i'm very proud of that remix.
mavie will probably chime in here sooner or later, you guys can ask her about the meaning of the lyrics.

Mavie M. has a really -- dare I say it -- beautiful voice, for this track. Brings out the emotion so well. God, wish I had been at GC to hear it for the first time and just collapse on the floor.
BTW: Still listening to this. Haven't listened to any one song like this in the past two years -- really -- has an effect on me. |
